With over 20 years of experience in commercial and feature film production I’ve had the opportunity to work with countless advertising agencies and production companies on creative with budgets ranging from micro up to $1 million+. I enjoy content creation and managing productions large and small and all associated challenges such as restrictive budgets or tight deadlines.

 

2015 - Present
Producer - Transvideo Studios
As a producer at Transvideo, I am responsible for managing video and film projects and their budgets ranging from simple how-to and product tour videos, explainer videos, animations to broadcast commercials and original content from inception to completion. I provide sales consultation to prospective clients, manage booked projects including discovery, project kickoff, project and content management, post production and completion. Internally, I manage the creation and completion of internal video projects such as tutorials and internal marketing pieces as well as managing the company’s social media efforts including relevant SM posts, client SM outreach and cross pollination, and community awareness. I manage a small team of assistants who are essential to all of the projects in which we engage. Additionally, I am responsible for managing a process for their development into potential senior team members.

 

2013 – 2015

Freelance – Associate Producer/Device Technician

Marcom Apple
For just under 3 years I worked at Marcom in two capacities. First, as an Associate Producer on long format video production projects. From start to finish, I worked to find and research possible subjects and set up further research and creative inquiry. I managed a research database of possible project leads worldwide from which multiple producers and departments produced projects. Managed travel for my creative team and talent. At the conclusion of the project, I acquired and archived necessary legal documents such as callsheets, releases and location agreements for possible future reference. In my second capacity as a Device Technician, I managed devices (iPads, iPhones, etc) and app content for production from project development through post. Ensured that proper content was created if necessary, accessible and available for coverage. Communicated with Content Management for assets appropriate for the project and BA for clearances on content, people and other assets. Worked with producers and creative directors to determine needs and schedule. Maintained and cataloged assets necessary for filming and post production. Once production was complete, I worked with post supervision to ensure that all necessary assets were available for the post-production process and final edits.

2001 – Present

Assistant Director, DGA (Co-Producer/Associate Producer)

Member of the Directors Guild of America since 2001. Responsibilities as a feature and commercial Assistant Director include initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing the logistical plan for a production from start to finish. Assessing and implementing daily scheduling changes, forecasting the diverse financial ramifications of schedule changes and communicating any and all changes to key department heads to further production efficiency. Duties also include acquiring and managing vendors and staff, prevention and assessment of loss and damage, effecting the efficient logistical movement of production and working with union representatives to resolve work related issues. Budgets range from a high of $20 million to $500,000 with the bulk being around $1M. As a member of the producing staff duties also include management of talent including casting and contractual negotiation and creative selection of cast members. Commercial directors include Spike Lee, Joe Pytka and Danny Levinson. Feature producers and directors include Terry Collis, Wayne Morris, Alan Blomquist, Rob Cohen, Doug Pray and Antoine Fuqua. Extensive experience shooting commercial content for companies such as Apple, UPS, Nike, Disney, Mercury Marine, ESPN, Accenture, EA Sports and many others.

Project Manager

College Park Neighborhood Association, “Sunday in the Park”
Sunday in the Park is the signature event of the College Park Neighborhood Association (CPNA). This community event has been in existence for over 25 years. The event is CPNA’s premier fundraising/ membership acquisition event. The event typically has an attendance of about 5,000 and features bands, and other performance groups, local vendors and charitable organizations and schools. The purpose of the event is to strengthen the College Park Community by creating a family event that enables community businesses to meet and introduce their products to local residents. The event has a small budget of about $12,000. The budget is supplemented by substantial fundraising and grants acquired by the project manager.

2011

District 3 Board Member

City of Orlando, Redistricting & Reapportionment Board
Redistricting is legislatively required each 10 years in the City of Orlando. After an appointment to this body by the City’s District 3 Commissioner, I participated in creating the new electoral boundaries of the various voting districts for the City of Orlando. Managed applicable political concerns and stakeholders throughout the process for my district. Partnered with other board members and constituents to determine key needs for the new district maps. Ultimately and individually negotiated, crafted and submitted the final version of the new city districts which the Board and City Commissioners accepted (with minor changes).

2010

Co-Host/On Air Radio Talent

The Jungle Radio Show, WMEL AM RADIO
The Jungle Radio Show, hosted by Safari Todd and Cleave Frink was an hour-long radio show focused on community centered conservation and wildlife awareness. Each week the hosts discussed local wildlife, wildlife engagement and available outdoor activities and their impact on the environment. The show also featured segments covering current events such as the BP oil spill and scientific topics such as climate change. Part of our mission was also to dispel myths and educate listeners with facts and the ability to help improve their wildlife habitats and get more involved in local conservation efforts. The show ran for 9 months.

1995 – 2001

Production Manager, Production Coordinator

Managed or assisted in the management of commercial and music video production from planning and prep through shoot and wrap. Managed budgets and assets for such projects as Disney Cruise Line, Nike, Nickelodeon, Roy Jones, Jr., and Sweet Science. Traveled with crew to other cities and countries for production in places such as St. Maarten, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Portugal, New Orleans and Las Vegas.

Professional photographer specializing in competitive sports, aerial photography, actors, models, and behinds the scenes. In competitive sports, we cover events such as triathlons, 5ks & 10ks and marathons. My company staffs competitive sports events with photographers, markets and sells prints and digital images using the company website and social media. We are both vendors for larger event photo companies as well as a full service event photo company in our own right. Events include the NY Marathon, Lilac Bloomsday 10k, Central Florida Triathlon Series, Orlando Turkey Trot and many, many others.
